Craigavon Civic Centre was the venue for the sixth agendaNi Agriculture and food Conference, which was sponsored by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council and the Food Heartland Forum; a fitting venue in an area that boasts two of Northern Ireland’s PGI products, the Bramley Apple and the Lough Neagh Eel. A distinguished panel led the debate on how the agri-food industry can and should react to a post-Brexit world, alongside updates from the key sectors of dairy, beef and grain. Innovation was the theme for the late morning sessions, with delegates hearing about the latest advances in science and education, with a strong message of the necessity of adapting new technology to this most traditional industry.
