New jobs for Derry

Seven Derry-based businesses have announced plans to create a total of 42 new jobs in the city, representing a £2.8 million investment in the local economy. The companies have already recently created 23 posts. Hunter Apparel, All Pipe Engineering, Fleming Agri-Products, Modern Democracy, Quinnspares, Steam and Generation Services and SmithDehn have been working on growth projects with support from Invest NI.

The largest new jobs announcements were made by Fleming Agri-Products and Hunter Apparel Solutions: 12 jobs and 11 jobs respectively. Fleming is investing around £600,000 in a development plan to expand its export base from its site at Newbuildings.
