New UFU CEO
Wesley Aston, a livestock farmer from Markethill, has been appointed as the Chief Executive-designate of the Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU).
Wesley’s career with the UFU began in 1991, firstly as policy officer before moving across to head up the union’s policy team in 1995 and more recently leading the union’s communications team.
Commenting on the announcement, UFU President Ian Marshall said: “Wesley has been with the organisation for over 20 years and brings with him very extensive knowledge and understanding. We look forward to working with him as he takes up the reins of CEO in April.”
