Alliance Party reshuffle

PEYE 150113KB3 0030 The Alliance Party has reshuffled its spokespeople. The move, planned for the half-way point during the Assembly term, involves the replacement of Trevor Lunn by Chris Lyttle on the Policing Board. Anna Lo continues as Chair of the Assembly’s Environment Committee.

“Our team of eight MLAs have given dedicated service to each of their portfolios,” David Ford said, “working across each area with the common goal of building a better, shared, Northern Ireland for everyone.”

The party has two ministers in the Executive: David Ford (justice) and Stephen Farry (employment and learning). East Belfast MP Naomi Long continues as deputy leader.

It also has 43 councillors. The party gained 50,875 votes (7.7 per cent) in the 2011 Assembly election.
